One way to organise an answer, paragraph by paragraph:
- Introduction: restate the claim, then give a clear position: technology can make everyday contact shallower, but its overall effect is more positive than negative.
- Where you agree: phones interrupt time spent together, and online contact can replace a few close friendships with many weak ones.
- Where you disagree: it keeps families and friends close across distance, and it lets isolated people find others like them.
- Conclusion: repeat the position, and that the effect depends on how people use it.
