The graph shows that the percentage of Australian export to 4 countries from 1990 to 2012
The line graph illustrates Australia's export rate to four countries in 22 years, from 1990 to 2012. Overall, the percentage of exports to Japan and the US showed a downward trend, whereas there was an upward trend in the remaining two countries. Notably, the figure for China saw the most substantial change over the period, enlarging the gap between India's figure.
Australia dispatched mostly to Japan and the US in the initial year, ranking Japan first. The percentage of exports to Japan started at approximately 25% before experiencing a notable decrease to 20% in 1995, after which the figure exhibited a steady decline in the ensuing years , eventually settling at 18% in 2012. Share of exports to the US witnessed some fluctuation over the study period. Starting the period with a decline from 11% to 8% , the figure then reverted to its former state in 2000. This proportion then had dropped considerably to 5% by the next decade, before ending the period with a marginal increase.
In contrast, China and India received relatively lower imports from Australia in the early years. The proportion of China began the figure with a modest increase, reaching 5% in 2000, The percentage of China skyrocketed within the following 10 years, recording a five-fold rise. India also followed a similar pattern, albeit at different levels, peaking at 7% in 2010 after a remarkable increase. In the final 2 years, the rate of China showed a negligible growth to 28% , this being the highest figure in the graph. The trend for India, however, underwent a falling trend, dropping to 5%, which made this country the smallest importer.
