Task 2348 words

Some people say that too much attention and too many resources are given to protect wild animals and birds. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

In the wake of rapid industrialisation and environmental degradation, the

allocation of resources has become a highly debated issue. Some argue that

excessive attention and funding are devoted to the protection of wild animals and

birds, while more urgent global challenges remain insufficiently addressed.

Although wildlife conservation is undeniably important, I am convinced that

resources should be distributed more strategically to tackle broader

environmental and societal problems.

One of the primary reasons resources should be directed toward the

advancement of human civilisation is that wild animals are natural components of

ecosystems and have historically survived without significant human intervention.

For millions of years, species have adapted to severe environmental conditions

through the process of natural selection. For example, according to scientific

evidence, crocodiles are among the closest living relatives of dinosaurs. Through

evolutionary adaptation, they survived dramatic environmental changes that led

to the extinction of many other species, including numerous amphibians.

  1. Coherence & cohesion

RevisedTherefore, it is not always necessary to provide disproportionate human protection to wild animals.

The revised sentence provides a clearer and more direct statement of the idea.

However, this does not imply that wildlife conservation should be neglected

altogether. Human activity has certainly accelerated habitat destruction, climate

change, and pollution at an unprecedented rate. In many cases, species are now

threatened not by natural processes but by deforestation, industrial expansion,

and illegal hunting. In such circumstances, targeted conservation efforts are both

justified and necessary to maintain ecological balance and biodiversity.

Governments and international

  1. Coherence & cohesion

RevisedNevertheless, it is essential to prioritize these issues.

The revised sentence provides a more explicit connection to the previous ideas.

organisations face limited budgets and must address pressing issues such as

poverty, public health crises, access to clean water, renewable energy

development, and sustainable urban planning. By investing in green

technologies, environmental education, and sustainable infrastructure, societies

can simultaneously improve human well-being and indirectly protect wildlife

habitats. In this way, conservation becomes part of a broader, more integrated

environmental strategy rather than an isolated objective.

In conclusion, while the protection of wild animals and birds plays a significant

role in preserving biodiversity, it should not overshadow other urgent global

challenges. A balanced and strategic allocation of resources—one that

addresses human development, environmental sustainability, and targeted

wildlife protection—offers the most effective path toward long-term global stability

and ecological harmony.
